The software based solutions have the advantage of being self-maintaining in that they allow subscribers to opt-in and opt-out. This is an important feature of any email mail campaign.

CONTENT

Email campaign content should educational and interesting and not self-serving. It could also be some about something completely outside of your business, serving to make you a sponsor of this information and in effect, keep you in front of the customer.

One way one client did this was by sending out a news letter about little know holidays, the entertainment value and curious nature of this information keeps people subscribed and they forget they being marketed too. This the goal of your content.
